Q. Is there a way to update the firmware of a media converter as a standalone unit?

A. Standalone updates are not possible. Please use the LEX1012-15/45 chassis and LEX1930-00 management card in conjunction with the unit.

Q. Is it acceptable to use Cat6A cables with the UTP ports (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000Base-T ports)?

A. LFP (Link Fault Pass-Through) is a feature that disables communication on one port when a link down event occurs on the other port. Using this function enables link down detection at both the local office and customer premises, regardless of whether a UTP or fiber optic cable is disconnected on the path where the media converters are connected.
