Reflecting on 2025: The Future of Connectivity and FXC’s "First Step" in the US
As we count down the final days of 2025, it’s clear this was a year defined by speed and transformation—especially here in the U.S.
With the explosive adoption of Generative AI, demand for data center capacity has skyrocketed. We also saw accelerated infrastructure investment aimed at achieving broadband equity in rural and suburban areas. In our industry, it seemed like not a day went by without headlines about 100G, 400G, and even 800G ultra-high-speed communications.
However, behind these glossy headlines of innovation, we remain focused on another crucial reality: How do we leverage existing assets?
Not every enterprise can—or should—rip and replace their entire cabling infrastructure with fiber overnight. Across the vast campuses, factories, and office buildings of America, copper infrastructure remains a vital backbone supporting essential operations.
■ Bridging the Gap in Connectivity
In 2025, FXC focused on the role of connecting new and old technologies in the U.S. market.
This year, we ramped up sales of our LightEdgeXchange1000 Series (Media Converters) via Amazon.com. These products have been battle-tested in the demanding Japanese market for years, earning a reputation for high reliability.
While a media converter—a compact box that converts fiber to copper—might not be flashy compared to AI servers, it is the "unsung hero" essential for extending network reach and connecting legacy equipment to modern infrastructure.
■ A Challenger’s Perspective
We are thrilled to have received positive feedback from customers who have purchased our products, praising their compact design and durability even in harsh environments. It is rewarding to see our quality beginning to be accepted by American engineers.
However, we also face the reality of our position. While "FXC" is an established and trusted network brand in Japan, here in the U.S., we are still a "Rookie." For many IT professionals, we remain a "best-kept secret" rather than a go-to standard.
■ Looking Ahead to 2026
That is why we see 2026 as a breakout year for us.
We view our Amazon sales channel not just as a storefront, but as a gateway for dialogue with our customers. Every review and piece of feedback acts as a signpost guiding our next steps. Next year, we are committed to increasing awareness of the LightEdgeXchange series and improving information availability to help solve more networking challenges across the U.S.
We are dedicated to bringing high-quality Japanese engineering to American job sites. We intend to turn the "first step" of 2025 into solid "footprints" in 2026.
Thank you for your support this year. We wish you a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year.
