Background and Key Factors in the Implementation
We interviewed Mr. Kijima and Mr. Obe of the Technical Support Department at JWAY Co.,LTD. about the background to this implementation.
JWAY Co.,LTD. had previously established connections between their locations in Hitachi City and Tokai Village, Ibaraki Prefecture, and they were now expanding their service area to include Hitachinaka City.
To accommodate this expansion, they needed to increase bandwidth without altering the existing number of fiber cores connecting their locations, prompting them to consider building a new network infrastructure.
Furthermore, connecting Hitachi City and Tokai Village required traversing the Kuji River, a major river, which presented a challenge in securing fiber optic lines.
Since acquiring new fiber optic lines would incur significant costs, they were also exploring cost-effective methods to secure the necessary fiber.
In their evaluation process, Mr. Kijima visited a cable television company that had implemented FXC products.
When asked about the key factors in their selection of FXC products, they cited "the proven track record with other companies in the industry and the cost-effectiveness" as major deciding factors.
Mr. Obe also commented on the product's attributes, stating, "I found the equipment to be very compact. The 1U size of the rack-mount chassis allows for installation in space-constrained environments and can be easily carried by a single person."
FXC's proposal to address JWAY's challenges involved a bidirectional, single-core configuration using "LEX1705A-1F" and "LEX1705B-1F" units.
This proposal reduced the required number of fiber cores from three to two, enabling communication with fewer fibers and freeing up one fiber core. JWAY Co.,LTD. is considering utilizing this extra capacity for future service expansion.
Post-Implementation Results
When we inquired about the situation following the implementation, they commented, "Since the implementation, we have experienced no major issues, and the system has been operating smoothly and stably."
Regarding their future expectations, they expressed their hope for "products that can support increased bandwidth and long-distance transmission."
FXC aims to be a company that can meet these demands and will continue to grow and evolve to better serve our customers.
